Getting a Handle on Computer Memory

February 28th, 2008 in Computers |

When it comes to computer memory, you would be amazed at how many options you have. For instance, options include Performa memory, OmniPlex memory, M-Series memory, and DeskPro memory, just to name a few. With new technology, new options with better performance have emerged. Take LaserWriter memory as an example. You will now find a number of upgrades available, taking a slow computer with little memory to something fast and with a large capacity. The Apple LaserWriter 12/640 PS memory includes 80ns speed, two banks, and maximum RAM of 64 megabytes. Another upgrade is LaserWriter 8500, which has 60ns speed, a fixed RAM of 16 megabytes, standard RAM of 16 megabytes and maximum RAM of 48 megabytes.

Then if you look at various options for HP memory, you would see a full line of memory upgrades available. For instance, some computer models are designed so they can be up to 32 gigabyte. In fact, you could purchase coordinating sets of as much as eight modules, to the maximum of 32 gigabytes but in this case, you have the choice of increments to include one, two, four, and eight gigabytes per pair.  Without doubt, memory and computers has never been so good.
